John applies his cross-functional leadership experience in his search practice working broadly across industries, functions, and geographies. Clients enjoy John’s ability to quickly identify high potential leaders who can immediately add value to a business and thrive in their unique culture.
The practice of developing leaders within organizations and planning organizational succession has also been a focus of John’s for the last 20 years. He enjoys leading organizational change and benchmarking efforts and served as a CHRO and senior leader in branded publicly traded companies. Notably, while working as the CHRO of a turn-around focused global private equity firm, John was instrumental in successfully placing more than 250 entrepreneurial C-Suite leaders who thrive in conditions of change and uncertainty.
In his formative career, John was an infantry officer in the US Army with worldwide assignments in tactical units, senior staff assignments with the British Army, and two tours of duty on the staff and faculty at West Point.
Outside of work, John remains active in several organizations that advance support for the U.S. Armed Forces and U.S. National Security. He is also an avid outdoorsman and can often be found in the gardens, trails, streams, and fields of play in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
