He has been fortunate to work with an extensive and diverse set of data sources used in various industries including media, advertising, financial services, retailing and telecommunications/mobile.
Matt’s experience with data and technology has spanned from pre-digital to the exclusively digital environment we operate in today.
Most recently, Matt spent 10 years at Nielsen in numerous capacities including President and Managing Director of Nielsen International Media, and Chief Executive Officer of Nielsen Catalina Solutions, a joint venture with Catalina Marketing. Prior to those roles, Matt was Managing Director, EVP of Nielsen Local Media which included broadcasters, cable and audio clients, the largest division in Nielsen media.
Prior to joining Nielsen, Matt was President of Claritas, a database marketing company used by financial services, telco, cable and retail clients. He also worked at Equifax in their credit card marketing group and started his career at AT&T.
Matt has more than two decades of proven success building businesses and executing innovative data strategies for both the buyers and sellers of media. Business leaders have relied on his expertise in media measurement, targeting, advertising, data analytics and the accompanying technology.
Matt has served on the boards of IBOPE Media, Nielsen Admosphere, Scarborough Media, The Media Behavioural Institute (MBI) and The Direct Marketing Association. He is frequently quoted and published on ad-tech and media measurement.
Matt has a bachelor of arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a former competitive swimmer, Matt starts most days swimming which provides him clarity and focus.
